Colon cleansing can often be categorized by its route of administration. For example, colon cleansing with an enema is still prevalently used. Many men are fearful of inserting the enema tube into the rectal region. Women really are not that excited about the anal insertion method of enemas either. But despite the direction of insertion,  many people often use it because it is safe and effective if done properly. Though embarrassment may dissuade many it remains one of the least discussed methods of colon cleansing.

This appears to be just a more supervised method compared to the enema. Not to mention the cost will be substantially more due to the amount of people and facilities involved. The major negative is that of the small intestine is likely not cleansed.

Herbal products are often seen as safer than the pharmaceutical products available today. Though some of these may be “all natural” it just depends on if your body agrees with them or not. You can get side effects from herbs to. Not only side effects but drug to drug interactions are also possible. Look at St John’s Wort for examples of this.

The use of herbal products can be better than all the methods revealed thus far in this report. Typically the best colon cleansing products are gentle on the body. Low to no side effects at all.

It just depends upon which product you select and of course your body. Some people react to everything in an exaggerated fashion. So I am not going to say that you won’t have problems with this so just be educated about your choices.

Laxatives is yet another way of colon cleansing. But is it the best colon cleansing method? Most people would agree that laxatives have probably been around the longest. Some people remember that when their systems became irregular, grandmother would recommend prunes or prune juice. Just a small glass or bowl of prunes can really make you regular for a time. But this does not address the underlying cause of constipation or irregularity.

As a solid health practice you should avoid using laxatives. They can leave you feeling dehydrated and the fecal particulate that lines your intestinal walls may never really be impacted from using a laxative. What ultimately occurs is the build up of fecal matter staying lodged in your intestine and that is the reason you seek the best colon cleansing to start with.

One of if not the easiest colon cleansing methods of late is that of using oxygen to cleanse your colon. The way this works is for your to swallow one capsule which when dissolved in the digestive tract and stomach releases oxygen. Think of the “Plop Plop Fizz Fizz” of Alka Seltzer for example. Those bubbles (oxygen) will start working almost immediately and dissolve the fecal matter from the intestines. When your have a bowel movement the final elimination would be achieved. For these reasons and more, many people just rave over oxygen as the best colon cleansing method.
